Combination Therapy (IFT+TENS) LCS - 151S

Combination Therapy (IFT+TENS) : Combination therapy, featuring Interferential Therapy (IFT) and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), is a powerful and effective solution in modern physiotherapy treatment. This dual-modality approach is designed to provide enhanced pain relief, improved muscle stimulation, and faster rehabilitation outcomes-making it a preferred choice for clinics and therapists. IFT works by delivering medium-frequency electrical currents deep into the tissues, targeting pain, inflammation, and circulation issues. TENS, on the other hand, uses low-frequency stimulation to activate sensory nerves and block pain signals at the surface level. When used together in combination therapy, these modalities offer synergistic benefits-maximizing therapeutic effectiveness for conditions such as chronic pain, muscle spasms, joint stiffness, and post-surgical recovery

LCS - 151S – Clinic-Grade Combination Therapy Unit (IFT+TENS)

Engineered for busy physiotherapy centres, the LCS151S features a lightweight, rust-proof aluminium cabinet that weighs just 1.5 kg yet stands up to daily disinfection. A rotary Multi-Function Port (MFP) encoder lets you navigate menus, set carrier and sweep frequencies, adjust treatment time and fine-tune output—all with a single knob-press interface. A second Balance knob instantly shifts intensity between Channel 1 and Channel 2: turn clockwise to favour CH-1, anti-clockwise for CH-2, or MFP equal output. Therapists can therefore tweak Output on the fly, keeping sessions efficient and patient-focused.

Key Clinical Benefits

  • Dual-mode pain management: medium-frequency IFT for deep analgesia plus conventional TENS for surface pain gating—selectable one modality at a time.
  • Programmable alternate mode automatically cycles between IFT and TENS to keep nociceptors responsive and reduce patient adaptation.
  • Muscle re-education and edema reduction via rhythmic interferential currents and customisable pulse-width TENS bursts.
  • Two fully isolated channels let you treat bilateral or antagonistic muscle groups simultaneously with the same modality, cutting chair-time in half.
Safety & Contraindications

  • Do not use over implanted pacemakers or cardioverter-defibrillators.
  • Avoid abdomen & pelvis during pregnancy; use caution on lumbar spine in early pregnancy.
  • Contra-indicated on malignant tissue, active infection or areas with broken skin.
  • Patients with epilepsy or uncontrolled cardiac arrhythmias should consult a physician before treatment.
Intelligent Feedback & Probe-Test System

  • Real-time output-feedback circuit senses the patient’s skin impedance; if leads disconnect or impedance spikes, current drops to zero instantly.
  • Automatic compensation keeps the therapeutic output stable throughout the session.
  • One-touch Probe-Test flag(s) faulty cables or pads see a live demo at the 10 : 10 mark of our video.
Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes the LCS-151S different from a standard IFT unit?
It combines interferential therapy with fully featured TENS, letting therapists alternate both modalities in a single device—no extra equipment needed.
2. When should I choose TENS over IFT?
TENS is ideal for superficial, well-localised pain (e.g., post-operative incisions), while IFT targets deeper tissues like lumbar muscles or hip joints.
3. Can I run IFT and TENS at the same time?
No. The LCS-151S delivers one modality at a time. You can switch manually. IFT and TENS do not run concurrently.
4. How does the Probe-Test feature work?
Press PROBE TEST; the unit injects a micro-pulse to verify cable and pad integrity. A PASS / FAIL read-out appears in seconds—see the demo here.
5. Is the LCS-151S certified for clinical use?
Yes. It’s manufactured under ISO 13485 and registered with CDSCO (India).
6. How often does the unit need calibration or servicing?
Schedule preventive maintenance every 12 months or after 1 000 operating hours—whichever occurs first.
