Accessories & Spares

Life Care Systems supplies the electrodes, cables, probes, belts and consumables that keep physiotherapy equipment working - our own machines and other makes alike. These are the parts that wear out, and a department without spares loses appointments to faults that take minutes to fix.

Most equipment downtime is not the machine. It is a lead that has broken inside its insulation, an electrode whose surface has hardened, or a traction belt that no longer holds under load. Each of those presents as a fault in the unit and each is resolved by a part from this page.

Tell us the make, model and serial number of the equipment a part is for and we will confirm the correct item before quoting. Bulk and departmental pricing is available for consumables ordered on a regular cycle.

Electrodes and Pads

The patient contact parts. Electrode condition is what decides whether a treatment feels smooth or sharp, so these are replaced on a schedule rather than run to failure.

Cables and Leads

Patient leads and power cables. A failing lead imitates a failing machine almost exactly, which is why a tested spare is the quickest diagnostic a department can keep on the shelf.

Traction Belts and Supports

Belts, halters and straps for traction treatment. A belt that slips under load means the patient is not receiving the force shown on the dial, so fit and condition matter as much as the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do your accessories fit equipment from other manufacturers?

Often, but it depends on the connector and the generation of the unit. Tell us the make, model and serial number of the equipment the part is for and we will confirm compatibility before quoting rather than leaving you to match it from a photograph.

How often should electrodes and cables be replaced?

On a schedule rather than on failure. Electrodes harden and stop making even contact, which the patient feels as stinging or hot spots before anything is visible. Cables break inside the insulation where the lead meets the connector, giving intermittent faults that look like a machine problem. A tested spare cable is the quickest diagnostic a department has.

A channel on my machine has stopped working. Is the unit faulty?

Usually not. A failing patient lead imitates a failing machine almost exactly, so swap in a known-good cable before assuming a fault in the unit. If the channel returns, the lead was the problem. Electrodes are the next thing to check.

Do you supply consumables in bulk?

Yes. Gels, wax, packs, electrodes and cables are ordered on a cycle by most departments, and bulk and departmental pricing is available. Tell us your usage and we will quote a standing order.
