Therapeutic paraffin wax for use in wax bath units. Melted and held at treatment temperature, it coats the hand or foot completely and gives up its heat slowly and evenly as it sets.

Wax is used because it reaches into the spaces a hot pack cannot. Fingers, knuckles and the small joints of the foot are awkward to heat evenly with a flat pack; a wax dip surrounds them. It is a consumable and is topped up or replaced as it is carried out of the bath on each treatment.
