The LCS SURGICAL Machine is a compact, lightweight and portable unit that can be used in most areas of surgery. The unit generates a maximum of 200/300 watts of electrical power and produces two types of High Frequency (HF) current for pure cut and a modulated current for cut with various degrees of homeostasis. . Both Monopolar & Bipolar outputs are available in the same unit. It is highly modularized with the electronics circuitry on 3 plug-in modules. Any fault can be easily identified, the defective module pulled out and a new one plugged in, all in a matter of a few minutes.

What is an electrosurgical diathermy unit used for?
Electrosurgical units pass high frequency current through tissue to cut and to coagulate, controlling bleeding during surgery. Output is selected for the procedure and the tissue being worked on.
What is the difference between monopolar and bipolar operation?
In monopolar operation the current passes from an active electrode through the patient to a return plate, so a patient plate is required and its placement matters. In bipolar operation the current passes between the two tips of a forceps, so it is confined to the tissue held between them and no return plate is needed. Bipolar is generally chosen for fine work and near delicate structures.
What wattage electrosurgical unit do I need?
Output requirement follows the procedures being performed. Our range runs from 42 W units for minor and office procedures up to 400 W for general surgical use. Tell us the specialties and procedure types the unit is for and we will recommend an output.
What accessories are supplied with an electrosurgical unit?
Handles, electrodes and patient plates as listed on the model page. Electrodes and plates are consumables and are replaced with use; patient plates in particular should be inspected before every procedure.
