ELECTRO SURGICAL DIATHERMY UNIT-300 Watts : The LCS SURGE ESD Digital 300 is a compact, lightweight and portable unit that can be used in all areas of surgery. The unit generates a maximum of 300 watts of electrical power and produces two types of High Frequency (HF) current for pure cut and a modulated current for cut with various degrees of homeostasis.
Both Monopolar & Bipolar outputs are available in the same unit. It is highly modularized with the electronics circuitry on 3 printed circuit boards.
Any fault can be easily identified, the defective module pulled out and a new one put in, all in a matter of a few minutes.

SAFETY FEATURES
In the Monopolar mode the connection from the unit to the patient plate is constantly checked. Any break is signaled by an intermittent audio tone and the foot switches are disabled.
Patient Safety Alarm: HF power is turned on only when the unipolar probe makes contact with the body tissue. If the unipolar probe is lifted from the tissue while the hand/footswitch is still pressed, the HF power is turned off. HF power is turned on again only after the unipolar probe makes contact with the body again. This avoids unwanted sparking if the surgeon were to continuously make & break contact with the tissue with the footswitch continuously pressed.
In the monopolar mode, pressing both foot switches simultaneously will give a coag. output.
The mains transformer is wound on a special double section bobbin to give excellent isolation.
The unit provides a floating output in both monopolar & bipolar modes for maximum patient safety.
