A fixed-height four-section traction table for horizontal cervical and lumbar traction, supplied with an adjustable stool. The friction-free lumbar section lets the pull reach the spine instead of being lost to the table surface.

Friction is what quietly ruins traction. If the lumbar section does not release, part of the force set on the machine is spent dragging the patient across the table and never reaches the segment being treated. A free-moving section is the difference between the dial reading and the treatment delivered.
