Laser Therapy LCS - 191

Laser Therapy : The Laser Therapy Unit delivers monochromatic, coherent light at 650 nm to trigger photo-biomodulation in skin, muscle and connective tissue. By boosting mitochondrial ATP and reducing inflammatory mediators, laser therapy speeds wound healing, eases chronic pain and improves micro-circulation—making it an ideal, non-invasive option when other electro-modalities are contraindicated or ineffective.

LCS191 – Clinic-Grade Laser Therapy Unit

The LCS191 delivers a single, evidence-backed 650 nm laser diode output—up to 200 mW in continuous or pulsed mode—for photo-biomodulation, accelerated wound healing and pain control. All settings are adjusted with one smooth-turn rotary encoder that drives a graphic LCD. Before each session, a one-touch Probe-Test measures actual diode power to ensure exact output. The aluminium housing stands up to daily disinfection yet is light enough for mobile carts and pitch-side care.

Safety First
Class IIIb 650 nm light can cause permanent retinal injury. Always issue certified 650 nm safety goggles to everyone in the room and post a “Laser in Use” sign before activation.

Key Clinical Benefits

  • Photobiomodulation — 650 nm, 200 mW diode stimulates mitochondrial ATP, accelerating tissue repair and collagen synthesis.
  • Drug-free analgesia — reduces inflammatory mediators and nerve excitability, easing acute & chronic musculoskeletal pain.
  • Micro-circulatory boost — laser energy triggers vasodilation, improving nutrient delivery and edema clearance.
  • Non-thermal & painless — ideal when heat, electrical current or mechanical stimulus is contraindicated.
Safety & Contraindications

  • Class 3B beam can cause permanent eye damage — issue 650 nm goggles to all in the room.
  • Do not irradiate over malignant tumors, hemorrhagic areas or the thyroid gland.
  • Avoid direct exposure to the abdomen & pelvis during pregnancy.
  • Stop treatment over tattoos or dark pigmentation if excessive heating is felt.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What conditions respond best to 650 nm laser therapy?
Chronic tendinopathy, diabetic foot ulcers, post-surgical incisions, trigger points, plantar fasciitis and cervical myofascial pain.
2. Is 200 mW considered a safe output?
200 mW falls in Class 3B (IEC 60825-1). It is safe when eye protection and proper dosage guidelines are followed.
3. How does the Probe-Test feature work?
Press PROBE TEST; the unit samples diode power on an internal photodetector and displays PASS/FAIL within two seconds.
4. How often should the LCS-191 be calibrated?
Every 12 months or 1 000 operating hours—whichever occurs first.
